Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in meat cutting or as an apprentice is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings.
• Produce value-added products per established guidelines.
• Cut, trim and bone carcass sections to required cooking cuts.
• Follow recipes to grind and tray meats and sausage.
• Price, date, wrap and bag meat products per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked department and merchandise shelves.
• Assist with inventory and merchandise replenishment as needed.
