Job summary

SpartanNash in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our store team. You will cut and trim various meats, follow approved recipes, and help prepare value-added products while maintaining quality and freshness.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience; strong attention to detail, safety, and the ability to stand for long periods are essential. You will also support merchandising and guest service while following PPE and food safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous meat cutting/retail experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, and other cuts.
• Prepare 'value-added' products per established guidelines.
• Cut, trim, and bone carcass sections or prime cuts.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag meat products per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked department and merchandise displays.
• Follow PPE and Food Safety guidelines and guest experience standards.
