Job summary

Genesis in York County, Dallastown, is seeking an RN MDS Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate completion of the MDS assessment and to review care plans for physical, cognitive, and social factors while upholding high standards of care.

The role collaborates with nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physicians to ensure proper reimbursement; requires RN licensure and at least one year in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and hold current RN licensure.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• The MDS Coordinator - RN completes the MDS assessment tool in a timely and accurate manner and reviews care plans for physical, cognitive and social factors to ensure high standards of care.
• Manage Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure reimbursement for services provided in the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to help achieve maximum allowable RUG categories and coordinate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation and physician services.
