Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in Lanham, MD is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator RN to ensure timely and accurate MDS assessments and care plan reviews, coordinating across nursing, dietary, social services, restorative and physician teams.

The role requires RN licensure and at least one year of long-term care nursing experience; LPNs with MDS experience may be considered. Competitive benefits and on-site opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience is required.
• LPNs with MDS experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall process and tracking of all Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement for services provided within the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to assure achievement of maximum allowable RUG categories.
• Integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
