Job summary

Genesis Administrative Services LLC seeks an experienced MDS Coordinator RN to oversee timely and accurate MDS assessments and care plan reviews within our long-term care facility. You will ensure compliant documentation and collaborate across nursing, dietary, social services, rehabilitation and physician teams.

The role requires active RN licensure and at least one year in long-term care, with opportunities for professional growth and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• LPNs with MDS experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• The MDS Coordinator - RN is responsible for timely and accurate completion of the MDS treatment assessment tool and reviewing care plans for factors specific to patients/residents to ensure compliance with high standards of care.
• Manage the overall process and tracking of Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to assure appropriate reimbursement for services provided within the nursing center.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to assure achievement of maximum allowable RUG categories.
• Integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
