Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a MDS Coordinator - RN to lead the timely and accurate completion of the MDS assessment and to review care plans across residents, ensuring compliance with high standards of care in our nursing centers.

This role requires RN licensure, at least one year of long-term care experience, and the ability to collaborate with nursing, dietary, social services, and physicians to optimize reimbursement and resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the MDS process and ensure accurate documentation for Medicare/Medicaid case-mix.
• Conduct concurrent MDS reviews to maximize allowable RUG categories.
• Integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation and physician services to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
