Job summary

Good Samaritan Pipestone is seeking an experienced RN/MDS Nurse to lead nursing staff in planning, organizing, and evaluating resident care. You will oversee the RA I process, perform quarterly and annual assessments, and collaborate with families and inter-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality life for residents.

The role requires an active RN license, 1+ year of senior care experience, and RAC-CT certification or supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from NLN or AACN accredited nursing program preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as licensed nurse with the senior population preferred.
• RAC-CT certification, management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Affiliation with an outside professional nursing organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing staff activities for resident care.
• Lead the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and complete resident assessments quarterly and annually.
• Coordinate care with residents, families, and other professionals to ensure quality of life.
• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process across all care phases.
• Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff.
