Job summary

Adept of Omaha is seeking an organized nursing professional to serve as MDS Director (RN or LPN). This role leads the coordination of the MDS and utilization management processes to support accurate assessments and individualized resident care plans.

Responsibilities include auditing documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and maintaining timely MDS schedules. Strong communication, attention to detail, and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MDS process and regulations.
• Nursing experience in long-term care preferred.
• Strong computer, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the MDS assessment process.
• Maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop care plans.
• Review nursing documentation and ensure plans are followed.
• Monitor resident condition and follow up clinically.
• Conduct documentation audits and address concerns.
• Assist with discharge planning and related forms.
• Protect resident confidentiality and rights.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Participate in department meetings and training.
• Perform other related duties.
