Zusammenfassung

Cantex is seeking an MDS Coordinator to ensure proper Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement through the RAI process and to support ongoing quality patient care in accordance with federal and state standards.

The role requires an active Texas RN or LVN license, at least 1 year of MDS experience, and preferred LTC background. Certification in AANAC within 1 year and HHSC RUG training are expected as part of professional development.

Qualifikationen

• RN or LVN license in Texas.
• 1 year of MDS experience required.
• 2 years of LTC experience preferred.
• AANAC RAI Certification within 1 year of employment.
• HHSC RUG Online Training completion required.

Aufgaben

• Maintain compliance with State and Federal Medicaid/Medicare rules and interpretations.
• Participate in assessment of pre-admission paperwork for medical necessity.
• Attend weekday standup meetings.
• Coordinate Weekly Reimbursement Meeting with Interdisciplinary Team for proper reimbursement.
• Audit Clinical Records and educate staff on documentation guidelines.
• Obtain Medicare qualifying diagnoses and update changes.
• Initiate and update physician certifications for Medicare Part A patients.
• Complete all MDS assessments within the required timeframes.
• Review 24-hour Nursing reports for changes in condition.
• Prepare for Medicaid audits.
• Track patient benefit days and coordinate with Financial Manager for accurate billing.
• Aim to meet budgeted rates.
