Cantex is seeking a skilled MDS Coordinator in Pearland, TX to ensure accurate completion of the RAI process supporting Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement. You will oversee MDS assessments, documentation accuracy, and care plan coordination, while maintaining regulatory compliance and promoting high-quality resident care.

The role requires a Texas nursing license (RN or LVN), 2+ years in long-term care, and certification/training in MDS/RAI within 1 year.

Qualifications

• TX nursing license (RN or LVN) verified.
• Minimum 2 years' long-term care experience preferred.
• Certification prerequisites: AANAC RAI within 1 year.
• Completion of HHSC RUG Online Training for Nursing Facilities.

Responsabilités

• Maintain compliance with state and federal Medicare/Medicaid rules.
• Review pre-admission paperwork to confirm medical necessity.
• Coordinate weekly reimbursement meetings with Interdisciplinary Team.
• Audit clinical records for documentation accuracy and staff training.
• Prepare for Medicaid audits and ensure documentation readiness.
• Track resident benefit days and coordinate with Financial Manager for billing.
