The role requires a Texas license, at least 2 years in long-term care, HHSC RUG Online Training completion, and AANAC RAI Certification within 12 months. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Texas RN or LVN license (RN or LVN) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of long-term care experience preferred.
• HHSC RUG Online Training Completion Certificate.
• AANAC RAI Certification within 12 months of employment.
• Strong communication, documentation, and delegation skills.
• Ability to interpret regulations and prepare clinical documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with State and Federal Medicare/Medicaid rules and interpretations.
• Oversee MDS assessments, documentation accuracy, and care-plan coordination.
• Coordinate weekly interdisciplinary team meetings for reimbursement alignment.
• Audit clinical records and train staff on documentation guidelines.
• Obtain Medicare-qualifying diagnoses and physician certifications as needed.
• Prepare for Medicaid audits and ensure documentation readiness.
• Support accurate billing by tracking census and coordinating with Finance.
