Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Digital Systems Engineer who blends systems engineering, architecture, and project management to guide requirements, architecture workshops, and system integration across the lifecycle.

You will leverage MBSE principles to ensure interoperability, manage risks within modeling environments, and deliver engineering solutions at pace. U.S. Citizenship and Top Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 2+ years with MS degrees or 4+ years with BS in a STEM field applying systems engineering and architecture concepts.
• Hands‑on experience building architectural concepts, BDDs/IBDs, and model configurations in Cameo Systems Modeler or similar tools.
• Experience creating template scripts (Apache Velocity) to drive report automation and documentation generation in modeling environments.
• Proven ability to lead or coordinate engineering tasks in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent oral communication and briefing skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required with active clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead MBSE conceptual model space to capture stakeholder requirements and establish end‑to‑end architecture and traceability.
• Formulate and lead multi‑discipline requirements and architecture working groups aligned with milestones.
• Develop, debug, and implement automated scripts using Velocity in Cameo to support report automation and ICD generation.
• Drive system integration by linking toolsets and data models across the lifecycle for simulated programs.
• Perform risk identification and modeling within system architectures to establish standardized tracking.
• Troubleshoot, validate templates, and refine syntax for high‑fidelity reports in model repositories.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration across matrixed organizations.
