Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Digital Systems Engineer in Huntsville to apply MBSE-based architecture and requirements management across the engineering lifecycle. You will develop architectural concepts, create BDDS/IBDs, and drive verification traceability using Cameo Systems Modeler and Velocity scripting.

The role requires an active Top Secret Clearance and US citizenship, with a Master’s or Bachelor’s in a STEM field and 2+ to 4+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related STEM with 2+ years experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, general science, or physics with 4+ years of core systems engineering and systems architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience developing architectural system concepts, BDDS/IBDs, and model-based configurations in Cameo or No Magic tools.
• Experience building template scripts (e.g., Apache Velocity) for report automation and documentation generation within system modeling environments.
• Experience leading or coordinating engineering tasks with technical project management capabilities.
• Excellent oral communication skills with history of delivering briefings and design reviews.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead MBSE model space to capture stakeholder requirements and establish end-to-end architecture and requirement-to-verification traceability.
• Lead dedicated multi-discipline requirements and architecture working groups to align engineering development with milestones.
• Develop, debug, and implement automated scripts using Velocity within Cameo to support report automation and ICD generation.
• Drive system integration by linking engineering toolsets and data models across the product lifecycle.
• Perform risk identification and risk management modeling within system architectures.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, template validation, and syntax refinement to ensure high-fidelity report creation.
• Foster strong teamwork and collaboration across matrixed organizations.
