Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks a Digital Systems Engineer to blend Systems Engineering, Architecture, and Project Management across the lifecycle. You will guide MBSE modeling, risk management, and end-to-end traceability to support complex programs.

Lead multi-discipline groups, drive tool integration with Cameo Systems Modeler and Velocity scripts, and ensure high-fidelity documentation and interoperability. Candidates must hold a Top Secret clearance and relevant engineering degrees.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 2+ years of experience or Bachelor's with 4+ years in core systems engineering and systems architecture.
• Hands-on experience developing architectural system concepts and model-based configurations in Cameo or similar tools.
• Proven experience building and applying template scripts (Apache Velocity) to drive report automation and document generation in modeling environments.
• Experience leading or coordinating engineering tasks with technical project management capabilities.
• Excellent oral communication skills with history of briefings, design reviews or demonstrations.
• U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and expand the MBSE conceptual model space to capture complex stakeholder requirements and establish end-to-end systems architecture and traceability.
• Formulate and lead multi-discipline requirements and architecture working groups for aligned development milestones.
• Develop, debug, and implement automated scripts using Velocity within Cameo to support report automation and ICD generation.
• Drive system integration by linking engineering toolsets and data models across the product lifecycle.
• Perform risk identification and modeling within system architectures to establish standardized tracking.
• Perform validation, troubleshooting, and data consistency checks within model repositories.
