Job summary

Humana invites MBA and other advanced-degree students to join its Summer 2027 Internship Program. This 12-week, in-person internship is based primarily at Humana’s headquarters in Louisville, KY, with limited opportunities in other major cities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an MBA or another advanced professional degree program (MPH, MD, JD, or PhD) with graduation spring/summer 2028.
• Available to work full time, 40 hours per week, during Summer 2027 (May 24–Aug 13).
• Must be willing to work in-person 3–4 days per week at listed locations.
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future.
• Minimum of three years of professional experience completed before starting graduate school.
• Demonstrated leadership through prior experiences with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meaningful, enterprise-level work across multiple business functions.
• Translate priorities into action through strategic planning, product and digital innovation, and cross-functional coordination.
• Engage with executive leaders and receive career-development support during the internship.
• Work on initiatives that support enterprise goals by improving efficiency, driving innovation, and delivering value for members and partners.
