Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Software Engineer - Maximo to support the Gas Enterprise Asset Management platform. You will design, configure, and maintain IBM Maximo and MAS capabilities, deliver integrations, automation scripts, and reports, and work with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

You will collaborate with product teams, systems integrators, and business partners, applying best practices, security standards, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in IT/CS/Engineering.
• 5+ years of Scrum/Agile, ITIL, and SDLC practices.
• 5+ years of application development, support, or enterprise platform engineering.
• 2+ years on an Agile development team.
• 2+ years implementing or supporting Maximo in cloud-based architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management systems and Maximo practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design, development, and support for Maximo across full SDLC.
• Deliver maintainable changes, fixes, and performance improvements for Maximo and integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into designs and delivery plans.
• Mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices and reliable delivery.
• Build and maintain integrations using Web Services, REST/SOAP, and Maximo frameworks.
• Maintain technical docs, tests, deployment guides, and design specifications.
