Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for the Maximo team, located in a hybrid setup across NY/MA regions. You will lead design, development, and support of a MAS 9 Maximo system, coordinating with an SI and ensuring alignment with National Grid standards and the roadmap.

You will manage outsourced providers, drive CI/CD practices, and oversee support environments, upgrades, and incident resolutions while maintaining SOX controls and budget alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 10+ years application support experience with 5+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• 5+ years managing outsourced IT managed services providers.
• Experience with IBM Maximo v7.6 or higher and integrations to mobile systems.
• Proven leadership of Maximo development teams and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications with strict design oversight.
• Oversee environments, daily operations, and SLA adherence for system availability.
• Direct the team and coordinate with SI, partners, and business units on delivery and issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and ROI-aligned modifications.
• Drive continuous delivery and successful capital project implementations.
