National Grid is seeking a Software Engineer - Maximo to design, build, and maintain IBM Maximo/MAS capabilities across gas operations. You will collaborate with product teams, business stakeholders, and engineers to translate requirements into secure, scalable solutions and deliver integrations, automation scripts, reports, and fixes.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, security alignment, and supporting the Maximo platform post-implementation, with hybrid work options across NY/MA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in IT/CS/Engineering.
• 5+ years of Scrum/Agile, ITIL, and SDLC practices.
• 2+ years on an Agile development team.
• 2+ years implementing or supporting Maximo in cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the Gas Enterprise Asset Management platform, including IBM Maximo 7.6 and MAS 9.
• Design, develop, configure, test, and support current- and future-state Maximo solutions across the full software delivery lifecycle.
• Deliver maintainable application changes, production fixes, performance improvements, and operational support for Maximo applications, integrations, and related components.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and delivery plans.
• Guide teams in engineering best practices and day-to-day support processes.
• Build and support integrations with enterprise systems using Web Services, REST/SOAP, and Maximo Integration Framework.
