Job summary

NCSSM in Morganton seeks an Instructor of Mathematics for a full-time, ten-month appointment in the Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will deliver instruction in Calculus, Data Science, or other advanced mathematics and contribute to curriculum development.

A Master's degree and teaching experience at Precalculus level or above are required; familiarity with educational technology and residential school programs is desired; duties include advising, service, and participation in

• Master's degree required in a related field (mathematics preferred).
• Experience teaching mathematics at Precalculus level or above.
• Willingness to participate in residential school programs and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction for assigned mathematics courses.
• Develop clear objectives and course syllabi.
• Take attendance and manage classroom environment.
• Grade, provide feedback, and submit timely grade reports.
• Advise students and participate in academic advising.
• Engage in committee work and service within NCSSM.
