Job summary

North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) invites applications for an Instructor of Mathematics at the Morganton campus. The 10-month EHRA faculty position will involve teaching Calculus, Data Science, and other advanced mathematics topics, while contributing to curriculum development and assessment.

Candidates will participate in collaborative departmental activities, residential school programs, advising, and service commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Calculus, Data Science, or other advanced mathematics coursework.
• Experience using educational technology in instruction.
• Commitment to designing new curriculum and educational programs.
• Willingness to engage in residential school programs and related duties.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction for assigned mathematics courses.
• Develop course objectives, syllabi, and assessment plans.
• Provide office hours, tutoring, and timely feedback to students.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in committees and program initiatives.
