Job summary

North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) seeks a full-time Mathematics instructor for a ten-month EHRA faculty appointment. You will teach assigned courses in Calculus or Data Science, plan curricula, hold office hours, and participate in January terms and school-wide activities.

A Master’s degree is required; experience teaching advanced math and using educational technology is preferred, with a commitment to residential and online programs for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field is required.
• Experience teaching mathematics at Precalculus level or above.
• Willingness to participate in residential school programs and January terms.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop an instructional program for course content and skills.
• Communicate clear course objectives and goals to students.
• Attend required meetings, advise students, and participate in school events.
• Hold at least three office hours weekly and provide timely feedback on grades.
• Teach assigned courses in Calculus or Data Science and participate in program initiatives.
