North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) in Morganton seeks an Instructor of Mathematics for the 10-month EHRA Faculty position. The role focuses on Calculus and data science coursework, utilizing educational technology and curriculum development to support a diverse student body.

The successful candidate will participate in January Term offerings, advising, and school committees, with competitive benefits and a commensurate salary. Start date January 11, 2027.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field and teaching experience in mathematics at the Precalculus level or above.
• Experience teaching Calculus, Data Science, or advanced mathematics coursework is preferred.
• Experience with educational technology and curriculum design is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop an instructional program for assigned courses and communicate goals.
• Teach Mathematics courses and manage course meetings and attendance.
• Create syllabi, provide timely feedback, and submit grade reports with comments.
• Hold office hours and tutoring sessions; engage in advising and service duties.
