National Council of Teachers of Mathematics - NCTM is seeking an Instructor of Mathematics for the Morganton campus. The role encompasses full-time teaching duties within the Mathematics department and responsibilities across January terms, student advising, and ongoing professional development.

The position emphasizes curriculum design, use of educational technology, and collaborative work within a residential school context.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field and teaching experience in mathematics at the Precalculus level or above required.
• Experience teaching Calculus, Data Science, or other advanced mathematics coursework preferred.
• Experience using educational technology and willingness to participate in residential school programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instructional programs for assigned courses.
• Develop clear course objectives and communicate them to students.
• Hold office hours and provide timely feedback and grading.
• Participate in meetings, advising, and professional development; engage in service to NCSSM community.
• Assist in admissions, outreach, and activity programs as needed.
