Job summary

Ampact is seeking Math Corps tutors to work with students in local schools, delivering structured math practice and guidance. You’ll mentor groups of students, track progress, and coordinate with onsite coaches to maximize learning opportunities.

We provide training, a supportive team, and a path to growth within a national tutoring program. Positions align with school calendars and offer meaningful community service with AmeriCorps benefits.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
