Job summary

Ampact, through its Math Corps program, is recruiting Math Tutors to support students at local schools. You’ll tutor groups of up to 3 for 20–30 minutes daily, then return students to their classrooms and prepare the next group. You’ll help students build math skills and confidence with strong ongoing coaching.

AmeriCorps positions offer a stipend, benefits, and opportunities for education assistance, with a commitment aligned to the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach.
• Enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experience with the community.
