Job summary

Ampact, via Math Corps, is seeking Math Tutors to support students in local schools. AmeriCorps tutors provide 20–30 minute sessions in small groups, following a set schedule and reporting progress to an onsite coach.

We offer paid AmeriCorps service with a 35-hour workweek, potential tuition assistance, health insurance, child care support, and loan forgiveness benefits. Training and ongoing coaching are included.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to give each student support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
