Job summary
Ampact's Math Corps seeks a Math Tutor to empower students in local schools through focused, small-group instruction. You'll deliver proven activities, be coached, and develop your coaching skills while supporting students each school day with 20-30 minute tutoring sessions.
You'll work with groups of up to 3 students, track progress, and collaborate with an onsite coach. The role offers daytime hours, Monday–Friday, with part-time options available for 20 hours per week, and a competitive
Qualifications
- Dependable with a history of good attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
- Proficient with basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
- Able to successfully complete a background check.
Responsibilities
- Lead tutoring sessions for groups of up to 3 students.
- Follow a schedule to ensure each student receives support.
- Track student progress and report to onsite coach.
- Enter scores into data software.
- Engage in coaching and training for personal growth.
- Share experiences with the community.
