Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact, seeks tutors to support students at local schools. As a Math Tutor you’ll lead small groups, follow a set schedule, assess progress, and collaborate with an onsite coach to improve student skills.

This AmeriCorps opportunity offers a biweekly stipend of $17.50 per hour, health insurance, child care assistance, loan forbearance, and education benefits for college tuition.

Qualifications

• Be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Able to pass a background check.
• Citizen or national or lawful permanent resident of the United States.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
