Ampact's Math Corps is seeking Math Tutors to work on-site at local schools, delivering structured math practice and guidance to groups of students. You’ll be trained to lead proven activities and coach learners daily, with regular collaboration with school staff.

Positions run for the 2026-27 year, with both full-time and part-time options available. This AmeriCorps role offers a biweekly stipend and access to education awards.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
