Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps program is seeking a Math Tutor to work on-site at local schools in Mississippi. You will guide groups of up to 3 students for 20-30 minutes each, deliver proven activities, and be supported by a classroom coach.

You'll track progress, conduct skill assessments, and participate in ongoing coaching and training. This AmeriCorps role offers a 35-hour work week with a biweekly stipend and benefits including health insurance and education support.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for groups up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes.
• Follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach.
• Enter student scores into data software.
• Engage in coaching and training for professional growth.
• Share experiences with the community.
