Job summary
Math Corps, powered by Ampact, is seeking tutors to work in local schools. You’ll help groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes daily, delivering proven math activities and coaching each step of the way.
This AmeriCorps role offers weekday daytime hours, a stipend every two weeks, health insurance coverage, education benefits, and loan-forgiveness programs. Training is provided, and you’ll grow your skills while supporting students’ confidence and math success.
Qualifications
- Dependable with a history of good attendance.
- Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
- Proficient with basic email and online tasks.
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
- Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule for support.
- Track student progress and meet with onsite coach.
- Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
- Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
- Share your experience with the community.
