Job summary
Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to help students in a Stockton-area school build math skills through short, focused tutoring sessions each day. You will meet groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes, track progress, and coordinate with on-site coaches.
No math whiz needed—we train you to deliver proven activities and support students every step. This is a full-time AmeriCorps role for the 2026-27 school year with a biweekly stipend and education awards; 35 hours weekly, Monday to
Qualifications
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Dependable with a history of good attendance.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
- Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
- 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; eligible for background check.
Responsibilities
- Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
- Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
- Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
- Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
- Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
- Share your experience with the community.
