Job summary

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with TEA-aligned credentials; Reading Academies certification or commitment to obtain TX training is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Reading Academies certification in accordance with TEA requirements or willingness to obtain within required timelines.
• K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual certification strongly preferred; ESL certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction; maintain gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
• Engage in weekly manager check-ins and grade-level meetings.
