IDEA Public Schools seeks dedicated IDEA Academy teachers to empower students to master academics and social skills while embodying IDEA's values daily. You will plan rigorous instruction, assess progress, and collaborate with families to support college readiness.

The role emphasizes state standards alignment, data-driven instruction, and a strong school culture. A Bachelor's degree and teaching certification are required, with bilingual certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year institution is required.
• Teaching certification approved for K‑12 teaching is required or eligible.
• Experience in a K‑12 classroom is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track progress with formal and informal assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Facilitate instruction using technology and manage classroom behavior.
• Participate in weekly meetings and school-wide activities.
