Job summary

Detroit Public Schools Community District seeks a Curriculum Leader of K-8 Mathematics Intervention to support Tier II/III instruction, coach teachers, and lead trainer initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director, K-8 Mathematics, you will implement district intervention strategies and provide staff training aligned with standards-based curricula and TIP goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate highly preferred.
• Valid State of Michigan Administrator Certificate highly preferred.
• Minimum five years of successful teaching experience.
• Proven experience in teacher development, training, and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional staff in implementing Tier I–III instruction through coaching cycles and PD.
• Build capacity of teachers and leaders to analyze data from standards-aligned assessments.
• Coach teachers in planning, delivery, and small-group instruction with actionable feedback.
• Reinforce guidelines around core and intervention instruction and initiatives.
• Coordinate with district vendors to design and deliver professional development.
• Gather and analyze data to evaluate core/intervention program effectiveness and refine strategies.
• Contribute to TIP goals and communicate trends to ILTs and senior leadership.
• Participate in and co-facilitate common planning meetings to strengthen practice.
