Job summary

MSD of Decatur Township is seeking an Elementary Math Coach (K–6) to strengthen math instruction, align curricula, and build teacher capacity across elementary grades. The role emphasizes data-driven practice, collaboration with district leaders, and ongoing coaching cycles.

This grant-funded position, supported by the Lilly Endowment Grant through 2030–2031, focuses on professional development, assessments, and cultivating high-quality math teaching and learning.

Qualifications

• Certified instructional leader for K–6 math.
• Experience using formative and summative data to drive instruction.
• Experience leading professional development or coaching.
• Knowledge of district curricula and CFAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide student-centered coaching to K–6 math teachers.
• Support alignment to district curricula and standards.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and identify needs.
• Develop action plans to address math gaps and monitor progress.
• Coach in math instruction 75% of the time.
• Collaborate on district and building PD.
