Job summary

TrulyHired in the United States seeks a Math Specialist to support campus mathematics through instruction, curriculum, and student interventions. The role includes duties such as coordinating the math curriculum for grades 6-12 and working with principals on math needs across buildings.

A Bachelor's degree in education or mathematics and at least three years of teaching experience are required; a master's degree is preferred to advance instructional leadership within the district.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Mathematics, or related field required.
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience in mathematics.
  • Experience in instructional coaching or leadership roles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the mathematics curriculum for grades 6-12 with district personnel.
  • Work with principals on math needs within buildings.
  • Provide demonstration lessons upon request.
  • Suggest and arrange math programs to enhance curriculum.
  • Develop benchmark, mid-term, and final examinations for grades 6-12.
  • Examine testing results and target weak areas with new strategies.
  • Develop and provide supplementary math materials.
  • Update and revise math units and teacher guides.
  • Train school staff in math curriculum and PLCs.
  • Conduct teacher observations when requested.
  • Keep abreast of state mandates and alignment with textbooks.
  • Develop math pacing and curriculum guides.
  • Push-ins and pull-outs for interventions and coaching cycles.
