Job summary

Wayne County Schools Employment Network in Detroit is seeking an Instructional Coach to partner with teachers and improve instructional strategies and curriculum implementation. You will facilitate coaching cycles, model lessons, provide feedback, analyze student data, and plan job-embedded professional development to drive continuous improvement.

Candidates should have a Mathematics background, several years of PK-12 teaching experience, a Bachelor's degree, and a Master's degree preferred.

Qualifications

Education requirements include a Bachelor's degree; a Master's is preferred.
Several years of successful PK-12 classroom teaching.
High school teaching experience preferred.
Content knowledge in Mathematics.
Strong pedagogy and data-driven instruction understanding.

Responsibilities

Coaching cycles including planning, observation, modeling, co-teaching, and debriefing.
Support curriculum and instruction aligned to state standards and district curriculum.
Guide teachers in collecting and analyzing formative and summative data to inform instruction.
Plan and facilitate professional development and workshops for staff.
Share resources and best practices to improve classroom management and student engagement.
Build trust and collaboration among teachers, administrators, and school teams.
