Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Special Education [Math] Inclusion teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. This long-term substitute role is anticipated to start in October 2026 and will be hired per diem, with the possibility of starting as a long-term substitute if vacancy occurs early.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Massachusetts Teaching License in appropriate content area and Moderate Disabilities.
  • SEI Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement district learning goals and objectives aligned with state frameworks and identify access points for student portfolios.
  • Provide small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays to ensure progress in the general curriculum.
  • Write and implement IEP goals and monitor progress reports.
  • Provide accommodations for learning and testing; develop curriculum and collect/analyze student work for MCAS Alternative Assessment prep.
  • Collaborate within the school to support staff in student modification needs.
  • Assist transition to adult living services as appropriate.
