Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field and laboratory testing technician to perform quality control on soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel materials at construction sites. You will communicate findings to project managers, prepare written and digital reports, and ensure proper sample handling and documentation.

Role involves transporting samples to the lab, maintaining equipment, and supporting technicians in scheduling and site operations, while following strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months experience required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel).
• Prepare, tabulate, and submit data and observations in reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory with proper documentation.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas; assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians; adhere to safety standards.
