Job summary

Terracon is seeking a materials testing professional to perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials, with responsibilities spanning observation, data collection, and reporting. The role requires strong safety discipline and the ability to communicate findings to project teams.

The ideal candidate holds NICET II or ICC/AWS certifications, plus relevant ASNT/ACI credentials, and has experience across soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel testing.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed according to training and procedures.
• Documents findings clearly and communicates results to the Project Manager.
• Performs basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submission.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and team as directed.
• Has experience in multiple field testing and laboratory testing areas.
• May train lower level technicians.
• May lead activities of other technicians on labs or field projects.
• Maintains equipment and calibration.
• Follows safety rules and reports safety concerns to management.
• Maintains quality standards on all projects.
