Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician in Phoenix, AZ to perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt and steel. You will prepare reports for daily submission to the Project Manager and ensure safety and data quality on site.

You will need a high school diploma, 6 months of experience, and a valid driver's license. ACI certification within 90 days and Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
• Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data.
• Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Project Manager.
• Progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
• Maintains assigned equipment.
• Follow safety rules and pre-task planning before executing work.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
