Job summary

Terracon in Utah is seeking a field technician to perform on-site testing and inspection of construction materials, including soils and concrete. You will collect samples, document results, and coordinate with project teams to ensure compliance with specifications.

Under supervision, you will gain experience, maintain equipment, and adhere to safety standards. A high school diploma and 6 months of experience are required; ACI certification within 90 days is mandatory, Nuclear Density Gauge

Qualifications

• 6 months experience required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification preferred within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and others regarding requirements and results.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in reports for daily transmittal.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
• Follow safety rules and practices on all projects.
