Terracon is seeking a field technician to perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt. You will communicate findings to the Project Manager and prepare data reports for daily submission.

The role requires a high school diploma, 6 months of experience, and certification within specified timeframes. A valid driver's license with a clean record may be required, and Nuclear Density Gauge certification is preferred within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months of construction materials testing experience required.
• ACI certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification is preferred within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
• Communicate testing requirements and results with the Project Manager and site representatives.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory and document chain of custody.
• Prepare, tabulate, and submit data in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas; assist with scheduling and dispatch as needed.
• Adhere to strict safety standards and perform pre-task planning.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
