Job summary

The Thrasher Group in West Virginia seeks a Material Testing Project Representative as an independent contractor to support construction projects across Mason County. This field-focused role requires performing sampling and field tests on concrete, asphalt, aggregate and soil, interpreting plans, and reporting findings clearly.

Candidates should have material testing experience, OSHA 10/First Aid/CPR certifications, ACI or WVDOH certifications, and the ability to operate as a self-employed

Qualifications

• Material testing experience is required.
• OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR certifications are highly desirable.
• ACI or WVDOH testing certifications are highly valuable.
• Ability to provide proof of independent contractor status as required by contract.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil.
• Interpret civil construction plans and specifications.
• Adapt to varying project locations on a daily basis.
• Communicate findings effectively through clear, accurate written reports.
• Maintain current certification courses to continuously build skills and knowledge.
• Accommodate periodic out-of-town project stays as needed.
