Job summary

The Thrasher Group is seeking a Construction Material Testing Project Representative to support our field teams in Beckley, West Virginia, and surrounding locations. This on-site role focuses on sampling and testing construction materials, with a strong emphasis on accuracy in reports and compliance with project specs.

The ideal candidate has material testing experience, OSHA 10 and first aid CPR certifications, and recognizes the value of continuous certification through ACI or WVDOH testing

Qualifications

• Experience in material testing on construction projects.
• Ability to interpret civil plans and specifications.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and stay out of town as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and field testing on concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil.
• Interpret civil construction plans and specifications.
• Adapt to varying project locations on a daily basis.
• Communicate findings through clear, written reports.
• Pursue certification courses to build skills and knowledge.
• Occasionally accommodate out-of-town project stays.
