Job summary

The Thrasher Group, a multidisciplinary architecture, engineering and surveying firm, is seeking a skilled Construction Material Testing Project Representative for work across Beckley, WV and surrounding regions.

In this field-focused role you will perform sampling and field testing of concrete, asphalt, aggregate and soil; interpret plans; adapt to different project locations; and report findings with clear documentation. OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR and ACI or WVDOH certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Material testing experience is highly desirable.
• OSHA 10, First Aid and CPR certifications are desirable.
• ACI or WVDOH testing certifications are valuable.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil
• Interpret civil construction plans and specifications
• Adapt to varying project locations on a daily basis
• Communicate findings effectively through clear, accurate written reports
• Pursue certification courses to continuously build skills and technical knowledge
• Accommodate periodic out-of-town project stays as needed
