We are looking for a skilled and motivated Material Testing Project Representative to support our construction projects in Mason County, West Virginia as an independent contractor (1099). This is a field-focused role that is central to the quality and success of our work, and a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants the flexibility of contract-based work.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not an employee role. As an independent contractor, you will:
Experience: Material testing experience highly desirable Safety certifications: OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR certifications highly desirable technical certifications: ACI or WVDOH testing certifications highly valuable Business requirements: Ability to provide proof of independent contractor status (e.g., business license, general liability insurance) as required by contract
Compensation is paid per the terms of your independent contractor agreement (e.g., per project, per day, or per assignment) and is reported annually via Form 1099-NEC. Contractors are responsible for their own income tax withholding, including self-employment tax, and for maintaining any required licenses or insurance.
Pre-engagement drug screening and background checks required. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
