ATI Specialty Materials in Monroe, NC is seeking a Summer 2027 Technology Intern to apply Materials Science & Engineering knowledge to real manufacturing challenges. You will work with plant teams to investigate material defects, analyze data, and monitor experimental processing to identify improvements.

The role offers hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, developing problem-solving and data-analysis skills while collaborating across technical teams.

Formación

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Materials Science & Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to review and interpret technical/process data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in working in a manufacturing environment.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and with teams.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate material defects and recommend process changes to reduce defects.
• Analyze mechanical and metallography data against processing history to identify trends.
• Observe and monitor experimental material lots to measure improvements.
• Apply materials science principles and data analysis to support manufacturing process improvements.
• Collaborate with technical and plant personnel to communicate findings and develop solutions.
