Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking a Material and Process Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience with launch vehicle parts, materials, and processes. You will support materials selection, testing, and documentation while working with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams across locations including Pueblo, CO.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a STEM bachelor’s degree, plan Fall 2027 enrollment, and can commit to about 10 weeks in Summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at time of application.
• Valid driver’s license; transportation required for Pueblo, CO internship location.
• Able to commit to full-time for about 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and plan to enroll Fall 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support materials selection, characterization, and qualification of components.
• Assist in developing and improving material, process, and manufacturing specifications.
• Support materials testing and data analysis; prepare technical reports.
• Participate in root-cause analysis of material failures.
• Assist with documentation, drawings, and material/process records.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
